Born On Azorea

I was born the only daughter to Tabor and Adriana Nichola.
I was born in a little vacation village on the northern part of the country, a little province called Konesia.  Konesia was a luxurious ocean-side resort that catered to the extremely wealthy, or at least those who pretended to be so.  As I said, I was only daughter of Tabor and Adriana Nichola, and found herself lavished with the good things of life.  My father was a man that thrived on success and knew how to get it.  He was driven to be the best, which is why I rarely saw him.  My mother was my role model, she taught me how to be a lady but also to understand that just because I was a lady did not mean I could not achieve great things.

I enrolled in the Stellar Exploration Academy at the age of 19, mostly because my father forbade me from doing so.  He had dreams that I would someday take over the Besantium Diamond trade, that had made him so prosperous.  I had no interest in running a large company.  I wanted to see the stars and beyond.  In my first year I was one of only a handful of female recruits.  I had to make it on my brains and wit, especially given the competitive nature of the Navigator Pilot School I had my eye set on.  My training took me far from the small village of my birth.  I loved everything about the program.  I also seemed to have a knack for it.  In just four short years I had advanced to Junior Navigator 1st class and began actual exploration missions aboard one of our Stellar Transports.

They were used solely for educational training and science exploration.  I had the opportunity to travel to strange worlds with exotic names, most of which were not able to support life.  In time I was promoted to Senior Captain and given a ship of my own to command.  It was simply titled Transport T-3.  I caller her Mariodauntus after a legendary warrior princess from our early history.  I commanded a crew of about thirty-five.

Morg Vayltor

I was more fortunate than most on that fateful day.  I was out on an expedition, thankfully.  I heard about the disaster as we were returning from the planet Broteus, a desert planet with little life to speak of, but rich in natural Iron and mineral deposits.  Luckily my parents were warned and found shelter in the Bromium mines, along with thousands of my fellow Azoreans.  It was later, when our planet was destroyed, that I learned, first hand, how awful and cruel Cormack and his followers could be.
