It's Me, I Promise

I was born in the stone age, in a small rural town by the name of Seattle Washington.  Not that you care but my full name is Robert Edmund Jacob Esquire Elite of the Four Realms. I have been creating stories from my earliest memory.  I remember creating a monster invasion using mowing the lawn as my base story.  Talking about the savage green invaders from Kentucky, and how they fell to the might of the Mowerus Gasolineious.  Okay, cheesy, but these early creations fueled my love of writing and creating fun narratives.

I remember when I first came up with the Idea for the Azorea Trilogy.  I was returning from my regular bagpipe practicing at the local cemetery, sounds like a morbid story in and of itself, right?  Anyway,  As I loaded my pipes and headed for home a crazy thought hit me.  Honestly, I don't even know it's origins.  I thought, what if all the horrific suffering and brutality of the medieval period was due to an evil alien race who became marooned on earth in Scotland.

There it was, the thought was born.  Over the years, as i worked on the story, I thrilled to the research of Scottish history, in particular the clan battles and clashes and lesser know history of the 16th century.  I decided to weave these interesting narratives into my trilogy.  Not in any attempt to relate true history, Ach, that's boring.  But retelling the event from the perspective that the bad guys were actually these castaway aliens from another world.

Before I knew it, I was immersed in the tale, actually living the events and I put them down on paper.  It was an exciting and fun adventure.  I hold no illusions that my fantacy will find place in the average reader, mostly it's a work for me to enjoy and possibly family and friends.  However, If you have some time and want a strange and twisted read, why not try the first book of the series, "The Final Hope".  The story continues, where? I have no idea, but I am addicted to the process and anxious to learn myself.  Cheers.
