Born In The Highlands

Ach, I cannae remember where I was born, and it does nae amount tae a hill o' beans anyway.  I am clan chief tae the Southern region clanship.  Our clan is mighty and we almost had our laird as the King o' Scotland at one time, but nae the noo.  But I guess ye dinnae want tae ken all that.  I married Kate and blessed was the day.  I have nae regrets about courting that lass, she's feisty though.  Dinnae let that calm exterior fool ye.  More than once I've had tae run fer cover on account o' her wrath.  We lived in a small town known as Reigh until Cormack and his lot came.  They killed me brother and some o' our clan folk.  Aye it was a dark day that day.  I had tae take the reins o' the clan though I did nae ken how at the time.  Now we have joined wi' the folk from the sky, and life's good.

How We Met The Azoreans

Well, it's nae so much how we come tae ken the Azoreans, but rather how they found us.  It was a dark night in the cold of winter when this lassie shows up at our door.  Well Kate, she canne help taking in any stray that happens along, and this night was nae different.  She'd been misused something awful, so I could nae blame Kate fer her concern.  We took care o' the lass but could nae understand a word she said.  It was a strange language tae be sure.  What's amazing is how fast she learned our tongue.  She's a right smart one she is.  We found out her name was Neala.  Such a pretty young thing.  We took her under our wing and helped her find her kin.  We were amazed when we found 'em.  They was living in squalor and had a strange metal ship wi' 'em.  They claimed they fell oot o' the sky.  Well, I had tae believe em, who'd lie about a thing like that.  They made us take an oath nae tae tell a sole, which was rather pointless.  Who'd believe us anyway?  We've been wi' em nigh on two years now and a right fine lot they are.
